Surah Maryam is the 19th chapter of the Quran, named after the Virgin Mary (Maryam), mother of Prophet Isa (Jesus) ﷺ. It tells the story of Prophet Zakariyya's prayer for a son, the miraculous birth of Isa to Maryam, and the stories of Prophets Ibrahim, Musa, Ismail, and Idris. It is renowned for its beauty and its moving accounts of divine mercy.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ كۤهیعۤصۤ
Kaf. Ha. Ya. `Ayn. Sad.
ذِكۡرُ رَحۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبۡدَهُۥ زَكَرِیَّاۤ
AN ACCOUNT of the grace which thy Sustainer bestowed upon His servant Zachariah:
إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَاۤءً خَفِیࣰّا
When he called out to his Sustainer in the secrecy of his heart,
